Motorola W161

- Nokia N95 8GB

Nokia N95 8GB
The Nokia N95 8GB is a smartphone and runs Symbian 9.2 software, giving you the choice of many official and unofficial applications and games to install onto your phone, extending its life and proving even further its jack-of-all-trades reputation. How you download and install these is your choice too, thanks to the variety of connection possibilities the N95 offers. If you want to use your home wireless network, the N95 8GB has Wi-Fi, or you can take advantage of the fastest HSDPA 3G connection if wireless is not an option. There’s even EDGE and GPRS if needed.

The excellent camera and music player also come with choices. Of course, you can display your pictures on the bright, clear 2.8" screen, but while its resolution of 240x320 is fine for its size, seeing them on a big screen will really bring them to life, hence the inclusion of a TV-out socket. If listening to music takes your fancy, you can do so using the supplied headphones or your own set via the 3.5mm jack plug or wirelessly with the A2DP supporting Bluetooth connection. It’s all up to you!

- Samsung Armani M7500

Samsung Armani M7500
The Samsung Emporio Armani M7500 Night Effect is the follow-up to the Samsung P520 Armani touchscreen mobile phone released over a year ago, however a lot has changed during this time and the Night Effect is a very different beast from its big brother. Firstly and most noticeably is the M7500 is not a touchscreen and secondly, this time the phone is branded with the Emporio Armani name, signifying it's aimed at the same youthful, stylish people who so love that particular range of clothes. Is it just a pretty face though? Let's find out!

Its full name may be ridiculously long for a mobile phone and many are going to dislike its garish light display, however the Armani M7500 is not aimed at those who prefer their phones to be restrained and known only by a series of numbers. It's about flaunting your love of quality designer products, individuality and a desire to own a mobile phone which fits in with your style. Put simply, if you don't get it, don't get it!

- BlueBerry clone surfaces

They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. The Blackberry must be feeling very flattered right now. After all, BlackBerries are everywhere, and even President Elect Obama is addicted to using it.

Meet the latest and I believe first Blackberry clone, so creatively named the BlueBerry L900i. This quadband GSM handset looks just like a Blackberry from a distance, featuring a QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth connectivity, a digital camera and leather backing. It’s only $164.99 so don’t expect it to function like the real thing.

Not sure if that’s a trackball or is just supposed to look like one. That’s the problem with knockoffs. You just can’t trust a clone man.

- HTC S743 available in Q1 2009

HTC S743
HTC is dropping it’s latest slider smartphone, the S743, which aims for both style and power. On a disappointing note, why have an alphanumeric keypad in front when it features a full QWERTY keyboard when fully opened? The display could have been a full touchscreen.

Other features on the HTC S743 aren’t as disappointing: 12-key kepad design, Full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system, Supports HSDPA (850/1900MHz) networks, 2.4″ QVGA display and Microsoft Exchange support.

If this faceted design looks familiar, it’s because of the HTC Touch Diamond. No word on pricing for the HTC S743, but it will be available in this quarter.

Nokia N85
The Nokia N85 gets reviewed by my buddy CJ. You can find the huge review with tons of photos here.
